Assembly: - easy to understand instructions - 5 numbered pieces which correspond to instructions - wrench & hardware included Construction: - simple yet functional - well made with adequate finish - rubber pads protect floor & ceiling Tip: - Slide provided plastic pipe over silver threaded portion of pole above curved handles before installing connecting cotter pins.

    I love it
    This is perfect if you don't want to drill holes in your walls. My toilet and bath are close in proximity so thanks to the pivoting handle I can use one stander to aid for both the toilet and bath. I love it.

    Great product
    I am so glad I bought this security p o l e with grab bar. I use this p o l e at the top of my staircase, to access the second floor. It is very sturdy and I don't know what I would do without it, I have been trapped in the house for a month.

    My Mother-in-law wants to thank the designer of the Stander Security pole. Each time she uses it, she says, "The person who came up with this idea is a genius." Without the pole, she would not be able to transfer herself from bed to the wheelchair, to the toilet,to the wheelchair to the sofa, etc.

    Stylish and functional
    I ended up buying two of these for two of the bathrooms in my house. My mother has an adult-onset type of muscular dystrophy, so she has stability and strength issues. I am VERY particular about how things look in my home. I have to say that these security poles end up looking pretty cool. I do have one of them in a shower, which I know is not recommended. However, it's a guest shower that isn't used very often, and I figure I can replace the item at some point if it ends up rusting or whatnot. I get compliments on them all the time. Everyone loves how stylish they are compared to what else is out there. I don't know why products in this category always have to look so "hospital-y." What's nice about these poles is that the curved part (the part you grab) can be moved around the main pole so it points in any direction you want. I just leave it up, even when my mother isn't here, as I can adjust the curved part so it's out of the way. I'm thinking of getting a third one for near my bathtub. I highly recommend this. It's incredibly sturdy and easy to put together.

    From the moment I opened the box, I could tell, this was a quality product. Actually, when I first picked up the box, the weight impressed me. Very nice steel, so smoothe, and just the right size for your hands. It feels secure when mounted, and mounting/assembly was so easy. Instructions easy to follow, the videos are great. Thank you Stander Company, for a great, well thought out product.

    Great Idea for specific situations
    Well made product, easy to assemble. Fast delivery, on time. Doesn't work in my husbands situation. If grab bars were adjustable for height, it would probably work fine. he is 6'5" and needs to pull himself up on a stiff leg. Bars are too low. Emailed manufacturer to see if there was a way we could reconfigure to adjust, have not received a reply. I would return but have thrown away packaging. Was very excited about the concept, but disappointed in the reality.

    Great aid for my father
    Added this as a second mobility aid in a guest bathroom. It really helps my father (Alzheimer's) stand up after using the toilet. If I could just get my mother to stop hanging towels on the bar I'd be thrilled! Seriously, nothing else works as well to get a grab bar in front of my father...wall mounted bars tend to twist him around as he tries to stand.

    Bought this for my 91 year old father. We installed this pole along with a toilet seat riser and life got a whole lot better for him. Solid construction and easy to install and very sturdy. I liked it so much, I ordered another pole and it has been installed in his other bathroom.
