Cheap stainless edge
6 weeks old and we are very sad we paid this much money for such a cheap finish. We were so excited to buy such a high end appliance for our forever home. We take great pride in our possessions and cleanliness. We read the whole manual for Care and use. The scratches on the top appear no matter how careful we are. We do not slide the pots we only use the cleaning kit to clean. We do not let anyone near the stove in fear of negligence and more damage. This is our 3rd electric glass cooktop and it is by far the most expensive and worst one ever. Definitely disappointed in Kitchen Aide.

This design prevents grounds from ending up inside the top and also the surrounding area of the cup. We replaced our previous product with the KitchAid because of this issue.

    Worst coffee grinder I've purchased
This is the worst coffee grinder I have ever bought. The seal between the plastic lid and machine is terrible. As your grinding, product leeks out the sides all over the counter. I would think twice about this grinder.

    Great for grinding Indian spices!
Our Cuisinart Grind Central broke right in the middle of grinding spices for garam masala. The KitchenAId Onyx Black Coffee Grinder (which is silver / stainless steel in color) was the only spice grinder with steel blades available for pick up same day at any local store - and available at Walmart for $17 less than other stores!! It works better than the Cuisinart!! We love it!

    Good product
Good product. Only small issue is it takes a little getting used to the lid , that also works as the on off switch. The fit is not that intuitive. Otherwise it looks like a solid product , made to last.

Meh. It grinds my beans, so, why complain?
The Mr. Coffee grinder I bought at "another big box retailer" didn't even work! So I ended up buying this one. It's HEAVY, and the container for the beans is very sharp stainless steel. You can cut your fingers if you're not careful. Also, the electrical cords on household appliances (from this to vacuum cleaners, etc.) seem like they are getting shorter every year. (Does wire and plastic really cost that much?) It works, and I hope it lasts. But I'll be glad to move on when it does.

    GREAT FOR GINGER TOO
Instead of grinding coffee I bought this grinder to grind ginger and it did a great job without being bogged down. Looking forward to grinding coffee and other spices in it too. I like the large capacity cup too.

This grinder would probably turn stone to sand! Our family loves coffee beans. This is our second grinder and by far the most durable. The cord is a perfect length to span plug in to your work space- the design is compact, hardy and tolerates being dropped. Should you desire, the internal grinder canister has easily viewed measurements for bean to brew. Simply lift the lid, fill as desired, replace lid and gently down to see the beans grind in the transparent window. When done, the canister twists and lifts out of the base for no mess ground transfer. One star off because the canister can stick and want to stay seated in the base. We typically run in to this problem if our teens over tighten the canister in the base after use. It takes a good grip but it then comes out. Regardless- for us, its a workhorse and m worth the money.

    I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Buyer Beware!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND This grinder is inconsistent with size of ground and will sling coffee grounds everywhere. Grounds get under the bean cup holder and get everywhere. This model needs to redesigned with a seal to keep grounds in at least. Maybe even scraped for inconsistent ground size. I don't know about you but with the cost of coffee these days I want all my grounds to go into my coffee maker not all over the counter.

    Highly recommended
This coffee grinder gets the job done. The cup is large enough for your daily needs. It has enough power to grind smoothly. The power cable is long enough to make is usable for different locations from the power outlet. The customer service is outstanding. Just for the responsiveness of the customer service alone I'll recommend this product. I had a part missing and called customer service. They knew exactly what it was and they resolved the problem in less than 5 minutes. No tossing me around and no making of any excuses. This is the way customer service should be. I'm enjoying this grinder and I will recommend it.

    Terrible
Bought this two weeks ago, used it almost daily and as far a coffee grinder goes, this is terrible. It grinds coffee alright but ground coffee is never there same; you get different grind size. To make things worse, the coffee beans that are closes to the blade get pulverized into almost an espresso grind AND get stuck at the bottom, under the blade while the rest of the coffee beans get ground into different sizes. Regardless of how many ounces of coffee I use, whether for 2 people or 4, the same problem persists: beans not ground to the same size and ground to a finer consistency at the bottom. Looks great and build quality is good but just doesn't do the job it was supposed to. I wish I could return and get my money back. My old, broken 10 year old braun grinder grinds way better than this.
