Perfect for small beginners
I bought this for my 6 year old. He weighs about 50 lbs. He couldn't ride a bike without training wheels but he learned quick with this. 1 day is all it took. It lasted a little over an hour before it started slowing down. Its perfect speed wise until he gets a little more experienced. It doesn't go well uphill without a running start. We do drive it in the grass tho. Assembly was quick and easy. I wouldn't give this to a child over 7 even though it says ages 7 . My child is kinda small. It was perfect for him and he loves it.

Absolutely disgusted!!!
I bought this from Walmart in Moraine Ohio only to open this on Christmas Eve to discover that's it's not even a dirt bike. It's an old used rusted out motobike. Nothing electric about this. What kind of store stocks this on there shelve to be sold. This should not be allowed.

    Made for a toddler
This is definitely not for 7 years and older. Made for a 3-5 year old for size and weight. It says it recommends 40-80lbs for a rider with a max of 110. My 5 year old is small at 42lbs. He can only ride the bike on the pavement because it doesn't have enough power to ride over smooth grass. It says it goes up to 8 mph but it runs extremely slow. It's a good practice bike for him to learn on. His 6 year old brother is too big for it. He's larger than an average 6 year old but less than 80lbs. Even height wise he is really tall for it. It barely goes with his weight, which is still in the recommended optimum weight. It won't last long, even for the 5 year old. Don't recommend buying this for anyone over 5 years old or more than 45lbs. Don't plan on riding it anywhere other than smooth concrete either. Originally we were going to buy two but they didn't have another one in stock and glad we didn't because it would have been a waste. Really disappointed.

santa for a 7 year old
after a purchase was canceled after 12 hours, just one hour before pick up at the stores three days later Wal-Mart warehouse came through and delivered a second purchase attempt. I am going to be a happy grandpa "santa" this year. The product looks like everything it was pictured to be on the website.

A good starter E bike...But it will need upgrades.
I purchased this bike for my 7 year old son for Christmas. out of the box the battery was shot because I stored the bike in my shed, which didn't have any climate control, and the sub zero Temps killed the battery. 100% my fault there so I can't blame Razor for that, however once I fixed the battery I quickly came to realize the 12v motor was very underpowered when it came to moving my 45 pound son around the yard, so I decided to upgrade the bike. after a bit of internet searching I found a 24v upgrade kit on ebay for about 50 bucks, however this didn't include batteries. that was another 40 dollar expense. luckily I only paid 140 dollars for the bike, so the 90 dollars in parts to upgrade it wasn't a huge deal in regards to cost, because in the end he ended up having a bike that could run toe to toe with my daughter's MX350 for 50 dollars less. That said, if your kid is over 40 pounds, just buy the MX350, because the amount of time, effort, and fabrication work I've put into this bike to keep my son happy with it, just isn't worth it in hindsight, when they have a better bike that cost nearly the same money (after modification) without all the effort. By no means am I saying this bike is a bad product, it's just marketed to the wrong age/weight group. If your child is a budding enthusiast, and you don't mind tinkering, then this is a great bike that could see them from 3 years of age up to 8 years of age if you upgrade it to 24 volts around the time they hit 45 pounds. my son is happy with the bike how it sits right now, but he's at the end of this bike age range in my opinion, and he's going to need the bigger bike (MX350) this upcoming Christmas. In short, out of the box this would be a great beginner bike for a 3-4 year old, but I feel maybe for liability reasons Razor cannot advertise it as such, because without modification it struggles real hard to move kids over 40 pounds around, especially if they're trying to ride in grass or dirt.

This bike is great! Perfect for my 2 year old son to get comfortable on a dirk bike. we put him on it shortly before his 2nd birthday and he would just go in circle but by the time his 2nd birthday rolled around he was able to steer and maneuver all around our property. We use it at least once a week and have had it for almost a year now and it still works great. My husband did mortify it by building training wheels for it because I couldnt find any that were made for this bike.

    Razor MX125 Dirt Bike
The bike is great for my 8 year old he loves it and the weight limit is good too but also my 8 year old weighs only about 58 pounds but it also doesn't stay charged very long maybe like a hr or 2 before it starts to slow down 2 hrs is really pushing it but over all for the price its a really great buy especially for beginners and its also kind of smaller than what I thought but it ended up being ok it fitted him perfect and he is about 4ft tall

    Not fast, recommend something else
Too slow, almost stops rising on grass. Cannot go up medium hills, pretty disappointed. Thought it would be just a little better of a bike for our 5 year old. He enjoys is, but it's not enough for him. Not even close. I don't feel like it gets to even 5 mph
