Great piece, vertical or horizontal.
This is a very versatile piece of furniture. I bought one for my bedroom to unclutter using it vertically. Then I bought one for my living room using it horizontally. Just love the ease of putting it together.

Very Low Quality, Don't Buy
This product is designed very poorly. When trying to assemble this, the instructions say to gently tap the dowel rods into place with a hammer. They won't budge unless you really apply some force, and when you do, the pressed wood just busts. The dowel rods you are hammering are flat on the ends, not even pointed like a nail. This plus the pressed wood is made of very chunky wood pieces, so when you try to hammer the flat dowel into place, it busts a chunk of pressed wood out the side. When you start to put the shelves together, you also see that all that's holding it together is 1/4th of an inch of thin plastic. I think even if I had gotten it assembled, it would have fallen apart as soon as I sat anything on the shelves. Very disappointed, seems very poorly made, not even study enough to survive assembly :/

Works great and looks solid; it's really not (sides are hollow) I wouldn't lean on it. Get lots of compliments. After reading bad reviews, I hesitated to order it. Guess I got lucky. Was easy to assemble (with YouTube video). Ordered the “natural” finish which looks more gray, but it works.TERI

One of the side “B” pieces had a hole that wasn’t completely aligned with the rest.(I had to drill a hole) Unfortunately it was my last step and I cracked a “D” piece in the process. Now my shelf would have to be stood up the wrong way since I meant it for the bottom. But now I don’t trust that broken “D” piece to hold up and be sturdy at the bottom. Plus. The dowels are now plastic which sucks, and for whatever reason I also had a hard time tightening the cam lock to lock into position. I’ve had many of these cubicles in the past decade and this is a first. I would say I got a lemon.LizLM

There are minor manufacturing blemishes on some of the parts, specifically the edges of the dividers are slightly flared and rough, enough to snag fabric. The unit went together fairly easily but the fasteners are a waste of material. Two of the cam locks broke off after I put it together and stood it upright.carson

Due to lack of upper body strength, I had trouble getting the long screws in the top and bottom boards so my son did that for me. Put it in the finished basement and holds things I just didn't have a place to display. Would absolutely buy this again!Tina22
