Will last many many years!
The Better Homes and Gardens Matilda backless stool is very well made and attractive with a modern look. My cat loves sitting on it! The seat is quite large and with the addition of a pillow, is very comfortable. My 3 year old grand-daughter had no trouble sitting at the breakfast bar this past weekend. I have also used it as a quick grab to reach a top shelf in the kitchen. Well worth the cost as it will last for many many years!

Heavy duty barstool
Matilda Backless Counterstool are pretty heavy-duty, seems very well made and will most likely last a very long time, especially for those households with children! I was surprised at the weight of this stool when I received it, It has a comfortable resting place for your feet to rest on, but gotta say I really can't sit for very long periods on this chair, it has a smooth top but not really that comfortable to sit on as it has a very hard and cold sitting surface. I'm going to make a cushion for the top that ties and see if that helps the comfort level while sitting. I will probably use this for extra sitting space when company comes over. But if you're looking for a barstool that is durable and will last a long time, This fits the bill. The cost of this barstool is very fair due to how well made this is and how long it should last.

    A quick stool to pull up
    I like this much more in the garden than inside the house. The looks of it just doesn't fit the look of my home, but it looks great in the garden, especially when we need to pull a chair out quickly to just sit and talk or relax. It's a really stable stool and weighs just right, plus it's really easy to clean off. The steal construction seems quite durable, but we don't leave it out in the garden. We don't have any furniture outside because we don't want things to discolor, but I do think that this stool would definitely withstand all the weathering. It LOOKS like it's made for the outside or on hard surfaces. If it fits with a particular look inside the home, then an art table comes to mind to be honest – like I said, quick to pull up and easy to clean off. Comfort-wise, it's nothing to complain about really. A stool is just a stool. It has no backing and no cushion. I do like the square design though. I like to sit on the corner of it, with my legs hanging off of either sides of the straight edges. It's just more comfortable sitting this way on a stool to me.

    This Better Homes and Garden Matilda backless counter stool is very durable and is made of metal and stands 2 ft tall. It fits perfect under my bar and is high enough to be at the perfect level. It holds over 350 lbs and is just perfect. Comes in several different colors. You will not regret this purchase. It is perfect for extra seating.

    A lightweight,quality and durable counterstool
    This stool caught my eye because of its wide seat. I also like the smooth four corners it has, that goes easy on my legs after i sat a long period of time.It was easy to turnaround on it to get off. The four bars toward the bottom of the stool was nice to be able to rest my feet on while I was sitting. The bottom of the stool legs that touches the floor had some nice rubber non slip stoppers that i liked,because they helped the stool to stay in place securely, when l positioned myself to sit on it. I like the quality and how sturdy the stool is. I like that it is really light in weight and is easy to carry or pick up. I was comfortable sitting on it at my dining room bar and at my dining table.

    Well made piece
    This came in decent packaging with protective foam protecting the feet through the Spark Program. This is a very sturdy, well made piece of furniture that has a generous seat and a sleek but simple design. It is made of a heavy steel construction, not flimsy in the least. It will hold a lot of weight. There are protective rubber covers on the feet so there won't be any damage to floors. Being backless makes it easy to shove under a counter or table. The stylish gloss, gray paint fits in with the modern home décor and is easy to wash. This well made piece will most likely last for many years. The looks are great, however, I'm sad to say that this stool that was sent to me does have an uneven leg so the feet don't sit flat on the floor and it rocks slightly. So even though I probably won't be using it for a kitchen stool, I can still use it as a plant stand or a small outdoor end table.

    Comfortable sturdy stool!
    This stool is so comfortable with the large seat area and the placement of the foot rest rungs. It doubles as a small table or TV tray! It has a super sturdy welded design and built with safety in mind with the legs bent outward a bit as to not tip and rubber non slip grips on the bottom of each leg. The height I found unique.

    Good, solid seating
    The Better Homes and Gardens Matilda backless bar stool offers very solid support, a clean and neat appearance, an excellent stability all in a fairly light package. My 295 pound frame feels safe and secure while seated on the stool. The stool is easily moved and the hard synthetic leg inserts offer protection to the flooring. Those inserts are 3/8" extended from the legs and result in a seating height of 24" above the floor. The seat itself is a rounded square of 16" width with an overhanging rounded edge that extends downward roughly 1 1/8". The legs offer a graceful outward curvature as they go from underside the seat to the floor. That curvature adds to the overall stability of the stool. Addition bracing in the form of an apparent continuous tube is solidly welded to the inside of each leg at 8" height from the floor. Further bracing is located under each side of the seat in the form of tubular arches which are welded on both ends to each of the chair legs. Those arches are 6 1/2" total depth. In addition the top itself is welded to each of the legs on the overhanging lip of the seat. Only the top arch welds are hidden from normal view. There are a total of 16 welds in the stool and all are solidly done and substantial. The welds are all neatly finished in the same smooth gray finish that is applied to the entire stool. The finish and color are evenly applied and well done. There seems to be a bit of lustre in the finish and I really can't tell if that is some sort of clear coat or simply a part of finish used. I could feel absolutely no sharp edges anywhere on the stool. I'm impressed with stability of the piece and feel it would do nicely for most any situation where a stool is needed. It could also double as a small table if desired.
