Best boat battery purchase one can make
Arrived on date promised and packaged very well. All parts provided. The battery specs and price make this an attractive purchase for my trolling motor. I'll update this rating once I put Battery to use. The low weight along with the rated 4000 charge cycles and rated 100% discharge capacity are amazing. Happy to see LiFePO4 battery price drop down to AGM pricing.

    bms vs non bms
    I order 3 of these batteries before but they didn't have the bms which wasn't clear at all. I contacted sipport and now they will be sending 3 with the bms. The bmw battery is the same price btw.

    I bought this 12V, 100AH battery to run the 30LB thrust trolling motor on my small aluminum jon boat. It is less than half the weight of the 125AH lead acid battery it replaced, {YAY!!), but it actually has even more stored energy. This is because Lead Acid batteries can only discharge to 50% without causing permanent damage to the battery, but LiFePO4's can go as low as 100% without permanent damage, though it is best not to go below 80%. You will not have to worry about this however, as fortunately, the CHINS battery has "smart" circuitry, and will cut itself off before it gets low enough to potentially cause harm to the battery. This is another advantage over the lead acid ones, which will run till they die, definitely causing poor performance afterwards and a much shorter lifespan. Walmart beat everyone's price on this battery too. As a matter of fact, they beat everyone's price on this particular type and size of battery period. I couldn't find another 100AH LiFePO4 battery anywhere that was even close to Walmart's price on this one at the time I purchased it. And I know I can trust Walmart, so buying it was a no-brainer decision. CHINS is a big player in the LiFePO4 game too, with a good reputation. However, there seems to be some debate as to whether "recent" CHINS 12V LiFePO4 100AH batteries are of the same high quality as earlier ones, with a few owners claiming theirs didn't live up to the 100 Amp Hour claim. {By the way, Amp Hours are the electric equivalent to the gas tank on a gasoline engine, and are indicative of the amount of stored energy. So more AH means a larger fuel tank and more "range" between charges or fill-ups.) I fully charged and load tested mine the day it came, and I am happy to report that it provided 105.61 Amp Hours. That's well above the claimed capacity of 100.00, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Thanks, CHINS and Walmart!

    Excellent upgrade!
    Replaced my deep cell gel battery in my camper. What a game changer. Much lighter in weight. And more available AH while out boondocking. Currently been using for a few weeks and happy so far.
