Omits bad smell
This fan works great but has an AWFUL odor that omits from it. I even had them send a replacement and the second one smelled the same, it kept me awake all night with headache and my whole house smelled like it. I would NOT recommend it if you are sensitive to smell.

    As another review said, "It's a box fan." The frame is made of metal as far as I can tell and is more sturdy than the 20 dollar fan I bought from here that crapped out the first time it tipped over. A correctly sized replacement fuse didn't cause the fan to come back to life, so I suppose, it's off to my electrican brother-in-law for a new plug to be installed. This one has a in-plug fuse in it too, so I'm hoping that if the fuse blows, a replacement fuse will work.

    Mixed emotions. Came in with a tiny crack that was easy to fix,. However after about 20 minutes of running there was a weird chemical smell. Motor was cool to the touch but turned it off to be safe.

    Bought this fan in September 2020 and it died!
    This thing arrived and smelled like spray paint. It was stinky and somehow the smell lingered for weeks. After using it for a month the smell finally faded away but the fan motor would be ram to the touch and then it started to change speeds on it's own, slowing down and then speeding back up. Now it's dead and I considered buying another hoping for a better unit and to complain about the previous purchase (just in case).

    A country review.
    It seems like a good fan. I use it to blow warm air from a wood stove in the basement to the upper rooms in the house. So far, so good. We live in the country and don't have gas to heat with.

    It's a box fan
    It's a box fan. You've used a box fan before, right? Well, that's what this is. It blows air around. I mean, what else can I say? I plugged it in and it turned the dial and it started blowing air around. If you're looking for a way to blow air around, this will do the trick. I deducted a star because this box fan (which blows air around) is $30, whereas a Lasko box fan (which also blows air around) is $20. Not sure why this is $10 more, because it's the same exact thing as far as I can tell.
