A DOCK TO RULE THEM ALL
WD19 docks from Dell are something else. Iv never had a dock that can perform the workload i do on a daily in the IT field. There is enough ports for all my devices and it gets the job done. I always recommend the WD19 whenever i can to friends and family. Dell products hold the name and i cant afford to use any other hardware other than Dell!

Needs to be better
This is the second one as the first was replaced. This one is better but.... Still troubles: Latency with keyboard and mouse Dropping network connections

    Docking Unit
    I order the docking unit to ensure the use of multiple monitors but when I purchased the dell 43 in 4K monitor it had all the input ports needed and my Precision 5760 laptop connected with the 4k resolution so I will return the docking station as unsued. Thanks

    Doesn't always work
    doesn't always work and laptop has to be rebooted to correct issues; lots of times where the attached devices loose their connections (even after working find for a few hours and nothing being moved) and reconnect immediately which is a pain, sometimes video doesn't work right away or comes up with the wrong resolution, I eagerly update each time new firmware becomes available but so far performance is less than desired, I have at least 20 of these things installed and I am concluding that the few I don't hear complaints about are in use by people that feel bad about complaining.

    Networking keeps dropping out
    Would not buy again. Networking keeps dropping out. Updated the BIOS and recommended settings but same problem occurs on different models. Switched completely to wireless now.

    There's not much else of a choice..
    These tend to stop working shortly after installing. It works well for the first couple of weeks and then the ports stop working efficiently. More often than not, the cable that gets plugged into your machine stops being able to charge your machine, USB devices stop functioning.

    Lacks power and Ethernet disconnects.
    It doesn't not have sufficient power for my laptop, despite being recommended for it. Upgrading to the dual power connector version. Also the Ethernet port disconnects after about 10 minutes, I have to plug directly into the Ethernet port on the laptop instead of using the on dock Ethernet.

    standard mediocre dell product
    It's a dell product so it's going to be mired in mediocrity. The power button doesn't really work and I need to open my laptop lid in order to get my laptop out of sleep or to use the laptop button to turn on my laptop. I had to ditch a third monitor since the port on the dock stopped detecting it. It's pretty much what I expected: won't work completely right but at least fulfills the basic minimum so I can perform my tasks. Been instructed to update laptop but of course my bios update fails on my laptop which is 2 months old. This bios fail happened on two other dell laptops so it isn't just this one.

    Go with the WD19 TB instead.
    Doesn't work with dual QHD monitors for me with both at optimal resolution and refresh rates. One will be throttled down and runs slow.

    Seems like a downgrade from my Dell E-Port Plus II PR02X
    As a user of the previous Dell E-Port Plus II PR02X docking station, I feel like this docking station is a downgrade for several reasons. First, it has much less ports and connectors and different types of such -- such as only 3 regular USB ports. Second, it ends up awkwardly taking up more desk space than before when I could just snap down my laptop onto a dock that was largely just underneath my laptop. The cable that connects to my laptop is just sort of awkwardly in the way. Third, when I hibernate my laptop, I have to remove it from the dock right away otherwise the dock immediately wakes it back up. I'm sure there are other minor annoyances too that I'm forgetting right now. I hope Dell will rethink things and go back to a dock that you can just snap your laptop into.
