Doesn't last!
Doesn't last at all! When the bar is used to 1/2 it breaks into numerous pieces, then the small pieces dissolve quickly. The first pic is at 1/2 used then busted into pieces, took a 3 minute shower and 2nd pic is what was left of the bar! I purchased pine tar and the wood barrel. I've used several different brands soap in the past like Irish spring/dove/etc..and they last easily 2 months and never break into pieces! The pine tar smelled ok but the other bar made my head itch, both bars left my skin dried out.

    Why is this the flagship smell?
    Very strong smell and the oatmeal makes for a very gritty bar but I felt like the grit made it disappear so much faster than other bars. It also tried it's best to stain my shower. I don't recommend this scent.

    Your husband will love this soap
    My husband will only use Dr.Squatch soap. He has used so many other kinds and brands and always comes back to this kind. We used to only be able to get them online but now that Walmart Carrie's it he is over the moon. The pine tar is his favorite scent also.

    Don't waste your money.
    My husband got suckered by some ad for this soap. $6 for one bar of soap is absurd, then to add insult to injury, it leaves black soap scum and oatmeal bits behind, smells like a pine tree air freshener in a stinky taxicab, and crumbled to pieces after a few uses. Complete garbage.

    Bar is gone in 3-4 showed
    These negative reviews are not exaggerated. This bar literally lost half of it’s volume in the first shower, and it was not under water very long. By the fourth shower it was a thin brittle sheet that I had to crumble into a ball to keep using. It’s more of a shower bomb than a bar of soap. The fragrance is nice but I prefer the Grandpa’s Soap CO’s (GSC) pine tar soap to this one. The GSC bar doesn’t have the exfoliating quality of this bar, but that was gone after the first or second shower as the bar quickly melted away. Therefore, I would recommend the GSC soap to anyone looking for a good quality pine tar soap bar. I included a picture of what this looked like after the fourth shower. It also leaves a black residue everywhere as you can see on my hands, but that washes away easily.

    Something changed?
    We started buying this soap as soon as Walmart started carrying it and it did what soap was suppose to do. Changed scents several times and recently came back to the pine tar and now it’s leaving black residue everywhere. It never did that before. Not sure if formula changed or what but not worth the elbow grease of scrubbing the mess off.

    Don't forget about the tar
    First off...let me preface this with this soap smells AMAZING. I'm just not sure why I didn't consider the tar portion of the equation. While this soap smells absolutely amazing, as soon as it gets wet, everything it touches turns black (I'm talking skin, tub, sink, whatever). Yes, it does rinse clean, but you need to be diligent with cleaning after every shower. If it is set somewhere that water hits it, there will be a drip trail of black that needs to get cleaned before it dries. We have ours sitting on the little soap tray in our tub. I don't use it. After I showered, I had a long, black soap trail to clean up. There was also a little pool of black where soap had collected after it finished dripping. Is it worth it? Well, it depends how much you love cleaning.

    GREAT SCENT BUT...
    Love the Pine Bar Scent and the exfoliating oatmeal for my skin. The downside is that they do not last. Maybe its because of the organic ingredients, they also fall apart easily. I would give then 3.5

    A Top-Tier Soap That Will Have You Feeling FRESH
    This soap was well worth the premium price. It produces a thick, creamy lather that will have you feeling clean! Personally, my favorite part of this soap is the smell. It is very fragrant (in a good way) which keeps you smelling clean longer than other bars of soap would.
