Lifetime product for my car
I always change my FRAM Extra Guard at 3000 miles even when it says 10K! Have been using this since 2007 with Mobil 1 Synthetic since the car had no miles on it. 157,000 miles later and no knock or mechanical issues!

Bad for your engine!
Fram filters are garbage! DO NOT USE THEM! Go to YouTube and search for comparison videos where they cut open popular brands of oil filters. You will see that Fram has cardboard internals holding them together and are often rusty on the inside even when new. They are absolute garbage. Buy the Bosch, Mobil 1, or Motorcraft. Anything but Fram.

    I've been with Frame filters since 1981. I buy the product because I'm buying quality.....not name brand. Probably what convinced me was watching ABC ....Wide World of Sports from the 70s, before I could drive, but I always remembered how the race car drivers used to brag about it. Sure you can buy a generic brand but they don't have a history of quality.

    Oil filter
    Works fine, don't need high end filters. I change my oil as scheduled and notice the filter is still clean after every use. Very little metal shavings on filter. No difference with one's triple its price.
