Pass on this one.
I'm not impressed with this turtleneck from Free Assembly. The black appears almost faded, not a rich black. It's relatively. TTS. I'd suggest sticking with Time and Tru turtlenecks that Walmart has in store. They're cheaper and nicer.

    you can find better
    Not really true black, it's more of a slate. Other than the color it was a decent fit, soft stretchy material. I'm between 1x and 2x so I went with the XXL which wasn't as long down the body but extra long in the arms. Also, the material is very stretchy but the bottom hem stitching does not allow for full stretch. You can feel the shirt can stretch but the hem stitch holds it short of the full stretch by a few inches. The length is okay but not enough to match the advertised images.

    Nice, lightweight turtleneck suitable for layering
    I haven't washed these yet, but they look and feel good. Others have commented that they seem small, but bear in mind this is ribbed fabric which will contract and be form-fitting. I sized up because as a knitter I know that ribbing will be form-fitting. And at 97% cotton, a cool temperature wash and dry will be necessary unless you want shrinkage. The finishing also looked pretty good for the price point. The seams are soft and best of all, the thread used is soft and silky -- not sharp and hard. These are suitable for layering -- the fabric is thin, but that's what I wanted as an inner cotton layer. I will buy again if available. Just wish there were more colors available.

    Won't be fooled again
    I ordered "barley" and the color online is much more rich and vibrant than the color I received - first disappointment. As others have mentioned, it's a super THIN material - you'll NEED to layer this, and in fact, on the tag it clearly states "layer" - which interestingly is NOT on the name of the turtleneck. I'm not sure who was giving this turtleneck such great reviews unless they're getting a commission for affiliate links.

    Cozy and comfy turtleneck
    I am 5'8", I wear a 36dd bra size and I am 34 at the waist. I love the color and cozy fabric of this sweater. I'm not normally a fan of turtle necks but like this one. The neck isn't too tight and the fabric is stretchy and lightweight. I like the gold color. Great to build the look by adding different layers. This item does not have pockets. Hope it helps!

    This turtleneck is so soft and so cute! Perfect with jeans tucked in or not! Pair with some shorts or jeans and some boots or heels for the upcoming winter months! Yet keeping the light color vibes! who doesnt love a good turtleneck?

    Shoulders too narrow
    I like that this item is 97% cotton and the quality seemed good. However the shoulder seams where super narrow. They cut in very close to the neck and made the fit very poor on me. The top fit in my regular size everywhere else. If you have very narrow shoulders, this is a great top for you.
