Great overall jacket
This jacket is a very nice style and fit. It's true to size and just long enough below the hips to keep warm without the tangle around the legs. The arms are long as well and made with Velcro Closures at the wrist so you can fit around wrists to keep the sleeves from falling over your hands. The hood is not detachable, but is soft so not to be a nuisance. The entire jacket is soft and comfortable. The jacket has 2 zip pockets on the sides for hands or gloves and 1 zip chest pocket. There are 2 inside pouch pockets in the front that do not zip. The rechargeable battery is about a 3x4” plastic Piece that plugs into the zip pouch at the back of the jacket. Its a little big and heavy, but not bothersome and welcome for the warmth it provides around the body. It also has a USB port to charge your phone, etc., if needed. The battery is easy to charge. This is a stylish, comfortable, multi weather jacket. I highly recommend it!

Nice Jacket
The jacket itself is pretty nice. You could wear it without the heating gadgets. It is soft and comfortable and very lightweight. The first problem I ran into was trying to understand the directions. They were a little confusing and scrambled. They should have included a quick start card. Basically once you read everything all you needed to do was charge the battery and plug it into the coat. I would give the directions one star. Once I had the heat operating in the jacket it worked well. I tried it in 30° weather with the setting on high and it did quite the job. After a little while I set it down too low to conserve battery as I did not need the high heat anymore. The battery seems to be holding its charge very well. I have used it off and on for a few weeks and still have over 50% battery life left. I think there will be a lot of variables as to how long the battery will last each individual though. At this point I will give the battery five stars. One thing I didn't like is where the battery is placed in the coat. The battery is kind of bulky and the pocket that they want you to put it in is in the back left side of the jacket and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Kind of unsightly and not really comfortable. It seems to throw the balance of the jacket off completely and pushes in your back if you are sitting. A better place would probably have been in front somewhere. I'm sure with a little effort I could reroute the cables. I haven't tried but I'm sure it's possible to locate the battery elsewhere. So overall I'm going to give this jacket 4 stars. Other then the not so great battery placement and funky directions it looks good and does what it's supposed to do. I should also mention that the battery has a USB plug-in too that can be used to charge or run another device.

    Nicely Done
Exterior shell looks and feels great, stitching looks good too. The first thing I did was give it the water faucet test, water ran off the exterior shell just like a duck's back. The length was a bit long and nicely covered a good portion of my backside. Easy to use waist drawstrings to pull it tight at the bottom of the jacket. Wrists have adjustable velcro straps, and the collar goes way up to cover most everything, when the hood is pulled tight. The zipper fits into a little pocket at the top of the zipper so it doesn't stab your neck. There are two, 10 inch deep x 6 inch wide open top pockets inside, two outside front pockets with zippers. The outside zippered battery pocket (back left side) was located such as to not cause discomfort when sitting. Outside left front zippered cellphone pocket, with a slit to the inside to run a charging cable to a similar slit in the battery pocket for the USB port on the coat's heating battery, nice touch. The battery makes the jacket feel heavy when you pick it up, but when wearing the jacket it's not nearly so noticeable and the weight is distributed. Movement in the jacket was good, drawing a bow shouldn't be an issue. The heat on high will definitely take the bite out of a cold day in a stand. Instructions indicate 8 hours of usage on LOW heat setting with single included 1.5 Ah battery. Use with additional battery packs, or larger capacity variations of the battery (neither included) would extend run time. Care Instructions: Remove BatteryPack and Power Source Before Washing Insure Power Cord is Contained IN Battery Pocket Before Washing Machine was Gentle Cycle in cold water Tumble Dry Low Heat Do NOT wring or Twist Do NOT Bleach Do NOT Iron DO NOT DRY-CLEAN And sadly, “Made in China” Additional noteworthy info: “Use with Hart 20V battery packs.” “The power source is not intended for any other use other than charging small (up to 2.1 Amp) USB electronics and the HART heated jacket series. Any other use may result in risk of fire.” I saw another review that might indicate that the arms are heated, I have no indication that the arms are in fact heated. It's just the L/R front breast panels and the back that are heated. The only thing I would have wanted is a velcro strap or similar tie, to hold the rolled up hood close to the collar instead of hanging loose and open all of the time when not on your head. It might be really cold when you start out in the early morning, but when busting through the brush on the way home when it's warmer with the hood off might fill the inside of the open hood with pine needles and other debris.

    Comfortable Heated Jacket
HART Heated Jacket Very comfortable, good looking jacket. Has two side pockets and one chest pocket, two big pockets inside on the left and right, special pocket for the battery with a zipper located at the back bottom left side. Has a hood with strings to adjust it to your head. The jacket is made from a waterproof fabric, has heating elements on the back and at the chest areas. Power source – 20V 1.5Ah lithium ion battery that can also be used with any HART power tool such as drills and so on. The battery comes with quick charger and can supply heat in the jacket for up to 8 hours. Power button located inside the jacket on the left side chest area and allows to start, stop and switch between 3 heating levels. When the heating is on, the button is lighted with different colors depend on the heating level: red – high heating, daylight – medium and blue – low heating level. The battery has USB2 port to connect a mobile phone. The battery pocket and the chest pocket have special holes to pull USB cable inside the jacket from the battery to the mobile device in the chest pocket. The battery will serve heating and mobile device charging at the same time. This jacket is suitable for working outside, traveling, jogging and other situation when you need light clothing that keeps you warm and allows you freely moving. You can turn heat to a high mode when you have a break for a rest from activity and your body does not produce heating but you need get warm fast. Only one inconvenience - battery is pretty heavy and bulky, so you feel it all the time you wear the jacket. Overall I like that jacket.

    Warm, soft and COZY jacket!!
This heated jacket is amazing! I ordered the XL size, hoping it would fit my husband and it does but it's a tight squeeze as he is normally an XXL. However, I love wearing men's XL jackets and it does fit me quite nicely, it's very large and loose so I can wear layers beneath it – the sleeves are a little long, but there is a velcro strip at the very edge of the cuffs so you can tighten the cuffs down as small as you need, so they actually fit quite well and stay put on my wrists. I've tried it outside in the freezing rain and it was quite warm and cozy, so I'm definitely excited to wear this jacket this winter when I'm shoveling the driveway!!! My husband says most heated jackets he's seen have a MUCH smaller battery, and he thinks that the reason this jacket's battery is so large is so that it can be worn for much longer periods of time without recharging, like for hunters sitting in their tree stands all day. The battery pack hits him in the back, so he said it wouldn't be comfortable if you have to spend any time sitting in a vehicle, but he's excited to try the jacket while riding his motorcycle on the trails in Maine this winter. The jacket is much looser on me, and when I sit down I find the battery pack naturally rides on my left side over my hip, so a smaller person shouldn't have a problem with the battery pack hitting them in the back. The battery comes with a charger and you can just leave it charging when not in use. The battery pocket for the coat is located on the lower left side, behind the side seam. The wire to connect the battery is easily accessible and it just plugs into the white battery holder (see photos), which you can also leave in the battery pocket. The control button is on the inside of the jacket just above your left collar bone – you long-press for about 2 seconds and the button will turn red, which is HIGH. If you do a quick press the button turns white, which is MED, and another quick press and the button turns blue, which is LO. Quick presses will cycle through the three temperatures until you turn it off with another long press. So it's very easy and intuitive to control, we actually never had to read any instructions to install the battery or to figure out the on/off and temperature controls – everything about the jacket is completely user-friendly and intuitive. The heat comes on QUICKLY and is at optimal temp within about 60 seconds – I could definitely feel the heat on my back, it felt like a nice warming pack you might use for sore muscles. The entire front of the coat felt a little heated, too, although not so dramatic, and altogether it was quite warm and comfy! My husband mentioned that another perk is that if you get too warm, just can just turn the temperature down or off – with most heavy jackets, if you get too warm you have to open vents or even unzip the jacket, which makes tricky to get just the right temperature. This is not a daily wear jacket, of course, unless you work outdoors then it would be really great as your everyday jacket -- but we will definitely be using it often for shoveling the driveway in snowstorms, and other outdoor activities. And, I forgot to mention that this jacket is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE! It is a soft fleece like fabric, so soft and cozy, the hood is great and it even fits me well without falling down over my eyes and blocking my vision. The hood has really nice drawstrings to tighten it down if need be, so even I shouldn't have a problem with it. And this is just me, but I have always loved anything in Realtree Camo – the only thing that could be better is if they would make this jacket for women in a pink Realtree Camo!!

    Toasty!
This seems to be a well-made jacket. Very comfortable and big enough to wear a layer under it. I charged the battery and in minutes I was very warm. Tuened it to low and even that was too much! Can't wait to go out in the snow with it. I like that you can charge your cell phone through the coat's battery (USB connector) or listen to an MP3 player, etc. Being in Montana I expect to get a lot of use out of it.
