They are exactly what I needed to make clothespin dolls at our annual grange fair. The only disappointing feature is that they are not made in the USA.

Not the old style clothes pins. Waste of money!!
I purchased these quite a while ago, but I have to buy new clothes pins now! Thought they would last forever, but immediately they would not stretch to go around the thin clothes line let alone the article I was hanging! I thought maybe I would give them more time. I was wrong. When you try to gently push them down they crack....every single one! My guess is this type of wood shouldn't be used for a clothes pin.

    A happy camper here
Exactly what is shown is what you get. They are a nice length, smooth surface that won't pull threads off fabric or give a splinter. If brought for a craft......great choice. They are natural ...so, painting and gluing them will be easy. I will be using them for hanging out laughing and a few crafts. It's a win-win for me.

    Not made for hanging clothes
I bought these with the hope that other reviewers were wrong when it came to using these for hanging wet clothes on a line. I've used this type of pin before and they can actually work better than the wood with metal spring style, or the plastic clothespins (which I'm trying to avoid to reduce my use of plastic).
However, as other reviewers noted, the slit for the clothing is too narrow for even average t-shirts let alone any bulkier material. The only option with the too narrow slit is to shove or press the pin down into the material to pin it to the line, and if it even stays (which often it does not work one bit), all the maneuvering to make it stay does damage to your clothing.
Overall, this product did not work for hanging wet clothes on a line. I went on to buy the classic wooden pins with a metal spring and they work just fine. Use this product for crafts ect, but not for its intended use of hanging up wet clothing.

    Poor product
I have a difficult time finding these clothes pins in local stores, so I bought them from Amazon sight unseen. I do not recommend them for hanging clothes on the line because the gap is so small that they won't fit on the line with an article of clothing. Then when I finally do cram the pin on, the pin will either split or tear the clothing. Do not buy these for hanging laundry on the line.

Great concept, needs one major tweak
I wanted clothespins without springs, and these fit the bill. The problem is that the opening isn't wide enough to secure most of my clothing to the line. If the manufacturer were to enlarge the opening, these pins would be perfect.
