Excellent Set
This set is well worth the money and the details are incredible. It is an amazing display piece and looks amazing. It perfectly fits the design from AotC. And unless you consider two minifigures a make or break part of the set, I would get this.

The Most Disappointing Build Ever
I was so excited for this build and contemplated buying it for months. I finally purchased the gunship and it ended up being so unstable. The gunship will fall apart everytime you try and move it. The back pieces always fall apart because they are reinforced or don't have enough surface area coverage. Also the cockpit is under so much pressure because of how this build sits in its standard. Parts will break under this pressure over time. I attempted to mount this build as well and as yoi can imagine it feel apart and is too unstable to mount. I would NOT recommend anyone buy this set. Lego do better!!

With that in mind, I still consider the build's instability to be a huge issue. Simply transporting it can lead to the bottom breaking or the top of it as well. The sheer size of it alone makes the build difficult to find space for, but its weight isn't supported strongly enough. Based off past Republic gunships, I think something smaller would be ideal because a ship like this is something that should be a play set. A better lego set I think would be something like the AT-TE. If this set was at that price/size, and had 5 clone troopers instead of the one we got, I think the set would be a way more popular set. If you're on the fence about buying this set, only buy it if you intend to keep it in one spot it's whole life. Otherwise, your money would be better spent on multiple smaller sets. My personal favourite is the AT-TE, or the small fighter tank with Mace Windu. There is also a rumored Republic Gunship set, but that one would likely be a corusant guard version so not as versitle for mocks. If I were considering this set, I'd wait til it goes on sale or I'd buy bulk parts to replicate the smaller set.Zach

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/09/2023Great UCS SetI had just finished the UCS Millenium Falcon and was looking to getting another UCS set to compliment it. I picked up the gunship at a nice discount and after finishing it, I love it. The build itself was relatively straightforward with a technic structure to basically hold all the pieces together. In terms of scale, this thing is massive, and I love it! Sure it's a bit hard to display, but I'll figure it out. The final build itself is strong and sturdy, it's almost as sturdy as a minifig scale model, which is again fairly impressive given its size. This is in contrast to the Falcon, where I had massive problems transporting it to my upstairs office. There are two small negative parts of the gunship. The first is there is no interior whatsoever. With the side doors being open, it looks a bit incomplete. The second is that I wish the rear hatch was more detailed. I see in other reviews about minifigs, and if that is your thing then maybe there is a bit of disappointment. For me, I'm buying sets for display in my office and it does not disappoint. I had one missing piece in the end, but does not affect the display itself.GeneralPaleSnike100

The build is mostly straightforward except for a few tricky spots toward the top/back. Its wingspan has a commanding presence and draws you in to admire the smaller details. Clone troopers fit perfectly in the cockpit and turrets despite not being minifigure scale. I couldn't stop looking at it after I finished.Harry

Very detailed on the hull of the ship bags 4,5 and 7 when you add the armor on the ship. The wings are HUGE and the and so are the doors. I wish the minifigure count was higher because the gunship is supposed to carry a lot of soldiers. But when I got finished I carried the gunship to another spot in my house, and the back door broke. Very fragile. So as I was rebuilding the back door I noticed that the armour that you put on in bag 7 was not fully pushed in. So I took the cockpit off ( bag 8) and the armour off to see what the problem was. I tried to put the armour back on but I could not and now I have to restart completely. Not cool Lego. You will see what I mean in the pictures. I already took some big stuff off.Clone wars dude

It was so excited to put this one together, but the building experience was absolutely ruined by the sticker sheet. I can't stand circular stickers, and clear backed stickers are quite frustrating too. Personally, I believe that every UCS set should not come with a single sticker, only printed pieces. Hopefully in the future that may be the norm. As frustrating as the building process was, I must admit the final model is quite impressive.HeroicSquirrel056

This is by far the largest set in my collection, you can read about how big it is and see pictures of how big it is, but you honestly do not realize how large it is until you have it built in front of you. This set took me about 15 hours total to build. That being said, if you're on the fence about getting this, make sure you have the time and room for it. When I first heard about this set, I was super excited as I have always loved the republic gunship. I have model 7676 and it has always been my favorite until now. I know several people are upset about the figures, but the figures do not matter in a set like this. This is not a play set, it's a display piece. The only complaint I have about the set isn't even to do with the ship, but the stand it rests on. The stand is just a little rickety, but that can be easily fixed. Please ignore any reviews that are left on this that say they aren't getting this set or are saying this isn't in the movies. These reviews are coming from people who have no idea what they are talking about. People should not be reviewing this set without owning it or making silly claims such as saying it doesn't have any pieces or saying the ship is not in the movies when the box literally has screen caps of the ship from the movie. In my personal opinion, lego should remove these reviews because they are not offering any constructive advice as the people either do not even own the set or have no idea what they are saying.Sma__________

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/04/2021Amazing set, with few minor issuesThis set is amazing! When the set was announced, I immediately decided to get it. It's nearly perfect, although it has some mild flaws. The first one, is the use of stickers on some elements, I believe specifically the emblem of the Republic should be a print. The second issue is that it's awkward to lift the ship off the display stand, but it's manageable. Lastly, I believe there should have been the secondary doors added to the set as a side build, but optional, like TFA modifications in the UCS Millennium Falcon. I wish I could have given the doors when I finished it but that lets me design my own build. I know some people don't like the mini figures, but I don't mind, they're neat. Overall I rate the set 4.5/5axicutionman
