Great fan. I've owned this U12100 (same fan, different color) for around 10 years. We use it for everything from cooling/warming the attic, staining and painting ventilation, cool breeze when sunning or having a summer outdoor event, springtime house airing and ventilation. Ran it for a month straight to dry a flooded basement when a friends water pipe burst. The swiveling cage lets you direct the air current nearly 360 degrees to aim it where you actually want it Two circuit breaker protected, 10 AMP outlets make it really versatile for all kinds of uses in various positions. It's powerful, yet fairly quiet, especially on the medium and low speeds, If you have one outlet but need more this fan gives you 2 outlets for the price of one. It's compact, well constructed, durable and reliable. My original has literally hundreds and hundreds of hours use on it, has had a rough life but cleans up nice, and is still going strong. I hope this generation of the product is the same. Ordering another because it's just so handy, and there are times when I wish that I had more than one. Included a photo that I took this morning of it venting a room I painted yesterday. You would never think its 10 years old and has run so long.

This looks like you sent me a used product. The case is cracked open and it is covered in dust and marks. Why would you ship something that looks like this?

    Hot air off. Cool air on!
    Being a musician. Sometimes I perform outdoors and on some outside patios. Here in H-Town our summers are very hot and humid. While some fans just blow the hot air on you. This little baby blows the hot air off of you. And keeps you cool on those hot muggy days. : )

    Don't buy this FAN
    This should COST no more then $20.00. The plastic or outside structure is the type of hard plastic that can be easily damaged or cracked. The AIRFLOW is so LOW it was just something. Very little between difference between any of the speeds. On the description it says HIGH VELOCITY. NOPE not anything of a high velocity on HIGH SPEED considering what high velocity might mean at the least velocity. **But MOST OF ALL, the sound of the fan isn't just unique to mine, it's very very very annoying. From a distance I thought and another person told me, something like this or a motor was abnormally running in my garage. The annoying abnormal smooth sound of the fan sounds louder from a small distance than close to this fan. I am keeping this because of 2 reasons: I will keep it because I need a fan to dry up wet garage floor and deck wood after cleaning. It is considered as a utility fan.     if you want a fan with wind power then this is it. I've spent more money last year searching for a fan that can do the job for this past summer. I tried every single household fan that's out on the market, it gets extremely expensive but I feel I can call myself an expert at this point. this has an air power like an industrial fan yet it doesn't have the potentially dangerous fan blades that can hurt a child. I'm not sure if it does have fan blades because all I have is a box looking thing and I see the barrel on the inside spinning. if you want a low setting then you'll need to use a cheap fan because the low setting on this is still a powerful wind. the exhaust can be adjusted up or down and doest move due to vibration. if you want more circulation you can face it towards a wall or at the ceiling and that is sufficient enough.

    awesome fan, packaged badly by shipper
    only give a 4 star because of the shipping. was boxed in another larger box loosely and it was smashed. item was unharmed. If you need a fan for the garage or in a factory.. this fits in a small locker and is great.

    Excellent fan but noisy
    I have an old version of this fan and it's been running for many years. This is a pretty good fan only I noticed that the newer fans are way more louder than the old version. That is the only reason I actually returned this fan.

    The Best Fan I Have Ever Bought
    It is everything the product description says... it is compact and powerful... not noisy at all... actually changes (lowers) the temperature in the room .... I will eventually replace all of my existing fans (I have a lot) with more of this one ... i dont like air conditioning- never feels like ventilation- this one moves the air exceptionally well

    Great fan, worth the price.
    Best fan I have ever used, just ordered a replacement for the first one I bought in 2013. That one ran every day, 24 hours a day until my cat recently knocked it off and onto a carpet I was treating with diatomaceous earth. Had it not sucked a bunch of particulate up and clogged the bearings it would still be going. I'm not sure how, but it feels like it actually noticeably cools the air as well.
