I bought this fan (or rather sent my son to Walmart for a fan lol) about a year ago or a little Over(was last summer) we live in Louisiana and it is HOT, at first I was upset he paid with MY debit card so much money, but let me say, this tower is QUIET, it oscillates very smoothly, I like that I can control everything on it, the oscillating, whether to have the ionizer on, and it has FIVE speeds on it! Also, it's really not that hard to clean!! Just take a feather duster or dust rag up and down it and viola, good as new!! LOVE IT!

the fan seems great, but ive now gotten 3 with a defect. The first had a piece broken off that had fallen into the fan. I returned and requested a replacement. The replacement came with the pastic piece that covers the timer indicator lights crooked to the point that it covered the remote sensor. I started a return but was not given the option for a replacement. I decided to give the fan one last chance. I ordered another fan. This one came and had that same plastic plate that was crooked (though not interfering with functionality this time). I Ultimately decided to go directly to the company to allow them a chance to make it right before giving up on this brand. if they make it right, I will update my review.

    The best fan i have ever had.
    I have had Lasko products before and like their quality and price. The wind curve puts out a stiff breeze and also has an ionizer with remote. I also like the 42 inch height.

    Doesn't blow out enough air
    I brought this fan because of the good reviews but this fan does not blow out enough air. I have my air on 68 and my room stays hotter than the rest of the house. This fan feels like it's on the lowest setting when it's on the highest setting. One of my lights that's supposed to show which setting level it's on doesn't work. This fan does absolutely nothing. You have to put it directly on you to feel the air. Don't waste your money

    Superb show, Lasko! You never disappoint.
    We have used several Lasko fans over the years. This was taken for a 10X12 room, works great. My son uses it all day in the summer. I would recommend, this is just like other Lasko fans, solid built, nice features with Ionizer and 5 speeds (amazing), he is happy with keeping it at One or two settings. It blows strong wind and has good space coverage, we once used it in our hall and found the coverage good for the space (20X12). Way to go Lasko. I will buy again!

    5 Speeds give you the perfect custom setting.
    The appearance looks like a simple black plastic. The fan is quiet and 5 speeds makes it customizable to any need. Very easy to assemble with no tools required. I only had to snap the two piece base together and attach the main base. 20 seconds and it was ready to go! My unit had a 5 speed indicator and two seem a bit dim, possibly not aligned, but didn't affect the way it worked and I can still see the setting.

    Arrived with flaws.
    Arrived damaged. There's a piece of plastic inside the display that has fallen. The part that shows the timer setting has fallen in front of the speed LEDs. I'd return for a refund, or exchange but they don't have in stock locally, and I don't want to wait another 2-3 weeks for a replacement. It's purely cosmetic and doesn't interfere with the use of the fan. I do wish we had the option to turn off the LEDs at night because they light up a dark room. I'll probably end up putting post-its over the display to block the bright LEDs.

    This works as it should but i thought it would be colder at the 5th speed. It does produce cold air but not as well as my previous Lasko that has lasted for 15 years and still works awesome.

    Great fan for a small isolating distance
    Even though I gave this fan 4 stars, and I thought it was going to be a great fan, the isolating distance was the only thing I have a complaint about. It doesn't turn far enough around to reach the three of us in the room. For that reason I will be sending it back. I may have to go with Honeywell again.

    Great Fan
    Nice sized fan. Much better than the short ones that just blow air onto your legs. Blows a good amount of cool air even at the lowest setting. Not too loud where I can still hear the tv even with it right next to it. I lucked out by getting it $10 cheaper because they were placed on the wrong shelf.
