Great reception and very durable!
We use these on the jobsite and they work well and are very durable. They are dropped and kicked around by the employees and hold up well for the cost.

Didn't serve our needs for motorcycle riding
Purchased it to communicate while we're out on the motorcycles. Might work better if they offered a wind sock to help keep the wind off the microphones. Around the yard use is okay for the grandkids but didn't meet our expectations.

    Excellent walkie talkies
    Excellent walkie talkies, I have tested around 500 mts- 1640 Ft between cars and sounded great. The Vox option it´s great because you can use it just talking, you need to start with a short word, like "one" in order to Vox get activated and start talking in order not to cut your message. Vox function is great because you can get "fingerpain" as my kid said if you use a lot the PTT button. I haven´t tested how far it can work but it sattisfied my necessities. Included rechargeable battery is just ok, ( NiMH 6 V 700ma), if you want a better lasting, you can use 4 spare AA rechargeable batteries.

    Using it for bus duty
    I'm an elementary school teacher who is in charge of 1st & 2nd PM bus duty at my school so these walkie talkies have been an amazing addition to my ability to communicate with the teacher who is charge of kinder PM bus duty. We are able to relay information in real time to each other.

    Great Walkie Talkies
    We use these up in the mountains while we are ATVing. They have great reception. I'm planning on buying another set. They are worth getting the FCC license to use legally. Sign up with the FCC, pay a $70 fee for the 10 year license.

    Reliable radios
    I was able to take these handheld radios with me on an off road 4X4 trail last weekend. Some folks in my group had some super cheap radios that they picked up at a local big box store, and these Midlands showed them up. Our group got seperated, and when they were calling us we were out of their low output range. I then gave them one of mine to use, and the conversations were much clearer. We could get three times as far, and did not lose them again. The bonus was that after a full day of wheeling the Midland battery level did not drop one bar, but 3 out of their 4 radios had died.

    Awesome walkies
    I bought these about 2 almost 3 weeks ago and have actually gotten to use them a few times and they're awesome. They reach about 4 miles in distance and that's where my family and I went 4 wheeling at and they worked so amazingly well. They are very durable. We haven't really wanted to test if they're water resistant or anything. We have lots of littler kids who would probably prove it way wrong so yeah. I would definitely recommend if you want good quality, good range, good battery life walkie talkies these are definitely the way to go.

    Love Midland Products!
    We have several sets of the 2-way radios from Midland and decided to dive into the world of GMRS. Our decision was easy. Based on past experience, we knew we were getting a quality product from a company we trust. Oh, and the shipping time is insane right now in a world of extended shipping times, we got our order the following day.

    Great quality and features at a reasonable price
    I bought these radios as a means of reliable communications while camping, hiking, and for potential emergency situations. They are great quality with plenty of features at a better price. Easy to set-up and hand one off to the spouse and kids for use. Sound quality is great and range is decent. I'd give it five stars if it came with li-ion batteries instead of high maintenance, short life NiCad batteries, but at least I can throw in some AAs in a pinch. Highly recommend if you need a durable, quality, mid-priced comms for your family.

    My go-to GMRS radio
    This is a great FRS/GMRS radio. All FRS and GMRS channels. 5 watts of power. Lasts all day on a single charge. I own two sets. I very well may buy more. Cons Does not support GMRS repeater channels There are only 22 channels (unique frequencies) in the FRS/GMRS service. Channels 23 - 50 on Midland devices use the 22 channels and add a security code. This isn't really a problem but it is not a significant benefit either.
