Connect Everything!
This USB 3.0 10-Port Hub with 48-Watt Power Adapter by Plugable is one of those things you don't really know you've been needing in your life until you have it! I connected this bad boy to my most active home PC and finally I have a hub that not only can handle all of my external hard drives at once, but I can also charge my phone, my tablet and it handles them all with lightning fast speed (5 Gbps). The unit was easy to install right out of the box and requires hardly any instruction at all. I have been using this little beauty for about two weeks now and I am here to tell you that this does not disappoint! If you have looked for a port hub that can handle all of your backup drives AND also charge your phone, tablet, etc. all at the same time, then this is what you have been looking for.

Disappointing
Bottom line...this barely works. The manual didn't come with it. I was so excited to not have to use 10 different chargers for 10 different devices. Wow. I read some impressive reviews. And I read some that said it was a dud. I'm in the Dud Category. I charged my iPhone 7 with ease. Not super fast, but decent. I plugged in my Kindle to recharge. Left it for a couple of ours. It had started at 38% and had dropped considerably. I've always been able to charge it and read at the same time. With this charger, a box popped up saying that it might not charge while the Kindle is in use. I had left it open, so my mistake, so it drained. Today, I turned the Kindle off and tried charging again. It is agonizingly slow. I plugged in my MacBook Air. Nothing. Nada. I read reviews and checked to make sure I had all updates. Found one and updated. Still doesn't work. I got the family involved to help. We started smelling wires. Won't use it again.

For my purpose, it works great.
My job "upgraded" our work laptops. I went from having 4 usb ports to 2. I would need more than 4 sometimes and now I was really struggling with 2. I need to plug in a mouse, extra monitor, number keypad, and usb all of the time. Occasoinally I would need to plug in an extra usb, my phone, or etc. This hub accomplished everything I needed with added benefit of charging my phone (Note 8) at a reasonable speed (not fast charging though). I have not used the item for a super long time so I cannot attest to its longevity but right now all of the ports work fine. The 2 pop up charging ports do pop up but one wont stay up which is why I deducted 1 star. For now, I am super happy.

    Plugable Portable USB Station
The Plugable USB 3.0 10-Port Hub with 48-Watt Power Adapter is a great portable USB connectivity station. Two of those ten ports are flip-up charging ports, great for tablet, cell phones, and other devices. Since it is fully plug and play, it connects easy to any pc. Moreover, it is easy to add components (scanners, printers, graphic adapters) and peripherals without stopping or shutting down any pc (hot-swappable). It is compatible with several operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is backward compatible with older USB 2.0/1.1 devices. Since it is 3.0, support fast transfer rates up to 5Gbps, but transfer rates do varies per devices. It is a compact device, easy to use and to carry anywhere, anytime.

USB 3.0 10 Port Hub with Dual charging ports
Package includes the 10 port hub, 12V, 4Apower supply, USB 3.0A to B cable and a quick start guide. They also provide a customer service web site in case of any questions. I think its pretty straight forward and can be used with all of todays high tech gadgets. I love we can all charge our phones, tablets etc at the same time in the same place. A must for todays busy families. Also great for transferring data at fast up to 5Gbps speed.

    Works as expected!
Nice, compact size and works as designed. Front ports are for your larger devices (printers, etc) and the top/back ports are for phones, tablets, etc. I don't notice the charging time being any faster than normal, even with the high speed cables, but it's also not any slower than a direct plug into the wall. I like it!

    It's okay
I only have a printer, a hard drive, a tablet, and a phone to plug up to my computer. I'm not super techy, so I probably would not need a 10 port hub. But it's certainly nice to have for those just in case moments. I also really like the two USB ports that can charge your devices. It's small and unobtrusive, even with ten ports. My only complaint is that the power cord didn't seem to have as tight of a fit into the hub as it should have.

    Fast setup and low profile
I plugged this into the front USB 3.0 port of my PC. It is hard to reach since it sits behind my monitors. It was connected and ready for use in seconds. I plugged the receivers for my key board and mouse in and they worked right away. My thumb drive was available right away as well. I plugged my phone in too and it was immediately recognized. I am not sure what to do withe ports in the back. Probably would be a good idea to move the keyboard and mouse receivers back there since I don't ever need to remove them, leaving the 6 front ports available for various peripherals. I like that it is small and low profile.I have a 4 port one I have been using (can be seen in the zoomed out picture below the main monitor. It works great but it was full all the time. This one will replace it. Nice peripheral.

    Stop unplugging your USB's!
The Plugable 3.0 10-port hub is nothing less than FANTASTIC. Since almost everything electronic is attached or charge via USB port, this product has eliminated the need for most of my chargers and has eliminated the need for me to be constantly switching out whatever I have on the single port of my tablet/laptop. Instead of having to choose, I now have my backup thumb drive, my cd/dvd player, a chip reader, printer and mouse, as well as charging 2 phones which also become USB devices. The Plugable was easy to install with a single power supply to a three-prong plug for power and a connection to a USB port on the laptop. This product is great for anyone with a laptop or computer who wants to add accessories through a single port.

Not totally comfortable with this product
First off, it's a bit "kludgy". When you consider its a 10-port hub, that's somewhat expected, but then add the power supply, the cords, etc. and it kinda becomes it's own pile of spaghetti. Secondly, the instructions are printed in one of the smallest character fonts on record. I had to use a magnifying glass to read them properly. They're also a bit "generic" - by that I mean they really don't stress which ports are good for what purpose. It's not till you read some reviews that you realize only the flip-up ports can be used for charging, the rest are merely for connectivity to your computer. I WILL give it credit, however, for excellent transfer speed on those ports (for as long as they last). Why did I add that disclaimer? - There are many reviews that suggest ports can die after some period of time. (As of this writing, I've only had the device a week or two, so longevity is yet to be determined.) Some reviews from folks who have had the device for decent period of time suggest there have also been problems with overheating and damage to external drives. If there's any merit to these reviews, I am a bit wary of leaving the power supply on all the time and even more wary of plugging in external drives. Bottom line - would I recommend this unit to others... yes, but with the above noted cautions. Don't leave the power supply on 24/7, and connect external drives with caution. As a 10-port USB connectivity device - definitely yes! (But in all honesty, I've begun migrating to WiFi-connected peripherals, so the necessity of a 10-port USB hub is diminishing somewhat.)
