Used to be Great..
I've had the pet safe wireless fence since 2013. Sure I've worn out a collar or 2, even a sending unit (1). The "new and improved" collar with the replacement battery system is THE WORST!! A proprietary battery, are you kidding me?!? What a flipping joke! The rechargeable was so much better but no, some brain trust thought it was a good idea to change it up.
Ridiculous.
Learn something from the consumer, ask the folks that actually use it. GO BACK TO THE RECHARGEABLE COLLAR!!

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/15/2022Great when it works, awful when it doesn'tWe bought this 2 years ago. We have 2 dogs. We just purchased our 4th collar. They just quit working about 18 months after purchase. The longest one of these collars has lasted for us is 20 months. Very frustrating. The collars are too expensive to be replaced any earlier than the recommended 3-5 years.kke2004

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/25/2022Works fine. The beeps are not very loud which made it hard to train our dog with this new collar. We had a different one for our golden retriever with longer prongs and louder beeps. The new one is nice but doesn't work as well as the earlier model.Jill21

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/08/2021Collar low volume high frequency tones.Collar warning beeps need to be louder. I would like to hear the tones when the dog hears the tones. Even the children have a hard time hearing the collars approach the boundaries. I know that dogs have better hearing at higher frequencies but you can add a tone for the people to hear also.Sniffbiscuit

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/07/2021Dog does not leave the yard anymoreThis works well for our dog. My mistake, I thought it was the rechargeable to go with our other collar. Oh well, still works with our unitsusan

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/05/2020Excellent Quality - survives & works after chewedI've given this product 5 stars is because even though my full size German Shepard tried his best to chomp up the wireless receiver but was unable to do so. I bought the rechargeable version of the collar for our Wireless Pet Containment System because he kept knocking the battery off the original collar. Somehow after a couple weeks he managed to get his collar in such a position where he chewed through the collar and tried to chew the receiver.I thoroughly checked the receiver to ensure he did not break the circuit board or the battery. The wireless receiver continues to hold a charge and work like it did before he tried to eat it as a snack.Amie14
