Stubborn Puppy
We were having so much trouble with our puppy going to close to the road. We have an older dog, which has been on the wireless fence for a couple of years. The regular collar that we bought for our existing system did not help with the puppy's urge to go too close to the road. Order the Stubborn Dog Stay collar and we couldn't be happier. He received a shock once and hasn't tried to go pass the flags near the road.

BEWARE! Will shock your dog in power outage!!!
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNLESS YOU PLAN TO ALSO PURCHASE A BATTERY BACKUP FOR THE TRANSMITTER!!! We have had our transmitter with two collars for 4 years with no issues. We recently purchased this collar for our puppy to add on. Learned the hard way that this collar will shock your dog in the event of a power outage. The second we lost power, our dog went nuts inside our house and thank goodness I was near him to rip the collar off of him quickly. No telling what could have happened if I wasn't home. We never had this issue when losing power with our 2 previous collars, just this one. My old instruction manual specifically said that in event of power outage, dog will not be shocked. The newest user manual on PetSafe site now says that dog will be shocked upon power outage so they suggested a battery backup. I think this is a serious design flaw that needs to be addressed. What happens if I purchase the battery backup and there is a few seconds of a delay? My dog gets shocked anyway. I think the company needs to seriously reconsider this. An animal should not be shocked due to loss of power! I contacted the company about this and they don't seem to be budging off of the insistence of a battery backup. I just don't trust that.

    Great for your Stubborn fur babies!
    my little lab mix is very stubborn! I had the regular Petsafe collar and he breezed right through it. This one has kept him in his radius area around the house!

    It works!
    We have a large Golden Retriever that had learned to run through the regular collar that came with the system. The stubborn dog collar works! He had been chasing after us when we leave and visiting the neighbors. No more. He stays well within the boundary now. We are impressed.

    I have had the same wireless system for 8 years with no problems and the collars work great also. I have had to replace the collars twice since purchasing the system but is more due to my pack chewing them on each other lol -getting ready to order two more. Love this system and I have 6 dogs that hop a 5 feet fence without them - now they stay back from the perimeter!

    Wish had battery
    I got this a month ago and already had to charge collar. The battery style lasted slot longer. Switched to this for my “stubborn dog” but on top setting my blue heeler still break boundaries): he is 5 and just started doing that this year

    I guess i really didn't need the stubborn dog collar because i believe why i was having trouble with the original collar was because it was too loose and not touching the skin.
