Kitties Love It!
Easy to assemble and clean. Made of ceramic (or stainless model) which helps prevent Feline Acne from plastic bowls. Has a nice steady water trickling sound which can also add to a relaxing environment even for humans. Seems to be well made, I've got no issues with it at all. Other than the "dropping risk" (being ceramic), it seems it could last for a very long time.

Think twice in spite of the other good reviews...
This is a fairly innovative design that has a great deal of potential, and I loved the idea that it was both stylish and practical ceramic. Unfortunately, it suffers due to the cheap materials used and inexact tolerances of mass production... Here's what was wrong with the unit I received: 1.) The ceramic top did not fit well on the ceramic bottom due to sloppy casting and finishing. It sat askew and was easily knocked more askew whenever my pets touched it. 2.) The hole in the ceramic top for water flow did not line up at all with the outflow orifice in the motor. No matter how you positioned the motor, it was always a quarter inch out of alignment, causing leaking and lack of water flow. 3.) it's not a regular household-wired motor... It's a cheap separate power supply that (inconveniently) plugs loosely into the motor, with a too-short cord and round connector that perpetually falls out at the slightest movement. 4.) The carbon filter is incorporated into the water flow in such a way that is doesn't really filter the water fully (water can go around it). 5.) Lastly (and I didn't actually keep it long enough to experience this) the cost of a 3-pack of the carbon filters is $20.00, meaning if you replace them every two weeks as recommended, the annual cost of the unit is $520.00 + tax & shipping + water & electricity. These filters cost between 7 and 10 cents to mass produce according to a knowledgeable source I know, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions about the cost of consumables being outrageous. The seven people that wrote reviews ahead of me have (evidently) had good experiences with this unit. Perhaps they aren't as worried about quality, or perhaps the quality has deteriorated or changed over time... I don't know. But I DO know that the unit I received was of VERY poor quality and workmanship, and I'm not willing to try another product from SmartCat again. It's being returned tomorrow... Back to the faucets for now. A shame.

    Great buy.
I bought this for my 3 small dogs. At first they were a little uncertain about it, but got used to it pretty quick. Bowl is easy to clean and keeps water fresher longer. A little noisy when water gets low, but you get used to it. I would recommend.

Met all my expectations; cats LOVE it.
Let me start by saying this product is actually sold by Wayfair (through Wal-Mart) so when it showed up at my house in pieces, I was seriously worried about the hoops I would have to jump through to get them to make it right. I had never purchased anything from Wayfair so my expectations of customer service were low. I was way off. I went to their site, selected the 'chat now' option and within 5 minutes I had a e-mail saying my product was re-shipping. I did not have to send the broken one back, and the new one arrived in 3 days. AMAZING!! Next, the actual product...it works amazing, I have a cat with kidney disease, so she HAS to have this type of system....and we have been through about 6 (some she hated, and some were horrible). I love everything about this one, with the exception of one minor flaw. Since it is ceramic it doesn't snap into place and so the top bowl takes a bit of adjusting to get it to sit right, and I am hoping it doesn't shift. But I am hopeful all will be well. So I would recommend this product as well as they Wayfair by Wal-mart products!

    easy use an nice looking!
The set up was extremely easy and looks nice! My cat loves it, I've gone through a few different fountains and either was cheaply made or seemed to gather that gross mold like stuff fast even with the filters. Only wish was easier to see the full amount line..I have made a small mess a few times, oh well its just water!! This is the cheapest I've come across this type of fountain!!

    Awesome Fountain!
This is a great pet fountain - I have tried several and this is the first one I have liked. Fist, it's made of ceramic, which is much healthier for your cats and dogs. Second, the design is well made - the water goes through the charcoal filter before it goes through the pump, which keeps the pump from getting clogged with fur, debris, etc. Third, you can adjust the flow to a very low bubble, or make it high - I keep mine low as the fountain is on a table and it minimizes the splashing. Well worth the money, I spent much more on other fountains that were no where near as stylish or well designed.

    Good price, good item
First of all want to mention that cats have to eat and drink from ceramic dishes, because of acne and other hygienic reasons. I purchased this fountain about 2 months ago, cat likes it..give your pet sometime to get used to new item and they'll love it..Fountain is very quiet, nice looking,,,easy to clean. i would recommend it for cats definitely, for dogs it's probably small..but depends what size of a dog..especially they don't cell ceramic fountains in stores, i never saw one..and online it's not really too much choice, but this one works for us, we like it!

    Cats love it!
My cats..I have five. Have always used a fountain. After developing feline acne from the plastic one I used my vet suggested a ceramic one. I purchased this one and no more acne problems. My cats backed away from it for the first 2 days but now they love it. Great product, I highley recommend for your kitties health.
