Very detailed sound and excellent subwoofer detail
This Samsung 2.1 sound bar system is an excellent system upgrade for any television audio system weather for sports, news, movies and music. I am very familiar with a Samsung 5.1 sound bar system which is slightly larger and this has as good or better sound as the one I know which cost hundreds more. The “2.” indicates that it has sound for the front and left speakers and the point one indicates that it has one subwoofer. It does not have surroundsound. But the sound is so good you may not notice unless you watch some really wild action movies with a lot of movement which I have done for years. One in a 100 times it makes a difference other times I can take it or leave it. It is so easy to install that you only use three cables to power cables one for the sound bar and one for the subwoofer. The subwoofer uses a wireless connection to the sound bar called Bluetooth which you don't need to worry about. The instructions tell you how to press the circle button at the top for five seconds until the connection is made. The last connection is to your television and to the sound bar with a very thin optical cable which is supplied use a flashlight and make sure you have the alignment correct and do not press too hard just make sure it is installed and aligned correctly and it should pop right in. Of course your television should be off and all power unplugged. When you power up your TV and you press the remote control button on your Samsung circle button at the top for five seconds to make the link a display will show you on the sound bar that it has been successful. Now sound will be emanating from your TV and the sound bar merely mute the TV or turn the volume all the way down and adjust the sound bar value to your desired level. There are two levels on the remote control: the left controls the volume up and down and pressing it in mute the sound. The right button controls the level of your subwoofer. In my experience do not get aggressive with the subwoofer only increase it may be one or two values or decrease at one or two values and place the subwoofer approximately 6 to 8 inches from your wall facing towards you with the whole facing towards the wall. Highly recommend mounting The sound bar with Hillman metal zinc wallboard anchors with screws included number six number 8 a total of 4 sets for $1.77 from Walmart general lee in your store. They hold 50 pounds and they are used without a drill just a Phillips screwdriver. After you have inserted the anchors make sure you place the rubber grommet/spacers between the anchor and the screw that is to say put the screw between the spacer before you tighten down the screw onto the anchor this is where you will hang the sound bar in the groove of the spacer. I have been through three sound bars over the last six years and this is top quality and very very good sound I can't say more give it a try. Finally, I used my sound level meter on an audio track and set the decibel level of my TV and my new Samsung 2.1 sound bar at the same level but quality of the sound went from a D to a B+.

    Don't disappoint yourself.
    Honestly.. This _—_ is trash. I should've took the advice from that person who's review I read when reading them when I purchased it. You get better sound out of a JBL Xtreme 2 and it's basically a small tool box size. The sound bar sucks ok. The sound the popped speakers when i didn't even turn it all the way up. Sorry Samsung. This was a fail. F on the sound bar. C- for the subwoofer. Overall F. Better luck next time.

    set up was easy. had a older version and only required one power cord. this one requires two power outlets. highly recommended. sound is very clear, bass is great. remote is pretty nice and simple to use. pros easy setup good sound range good bass bluetooth,usb, optical options bass/treble control cons no EQ no sound modes
