    Swedish film better than American.
I have read all 3 books of the trilogy but made a mistake and got the first film made in America with the actor who plays James Bond. Then bought #2 and #3 movies. Both of these movies were made in Sweden and were so good I went and bought the Swedish Widescreen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Excellent movie and likely as close to the books as possible. The Swedish movies are each about 2 1/2 hours long but I never got bored. Great acting and great story.

This is a must see for anyone who has seen the American remake, this is byfar the better one to buy, but what do I know, I like Quinton Tarentino movies too, this is an especialy good buy sence I got all 3 movies for under $30

Wanted to watch the American version, so watched these first to get the idea of what it was all about....HIGHLY recommend watching the originals first! Even though it's subtitled, you're not lost trying to read and watch. It flowed so easily...Couldn't wait to watch all 3!

    Book in motion
The movie is not for the faint at heart. It's a well made film with a very capable cast and I gripping plot. I would caution anyone that this is a Swedish film and in being so their approach to film making is much more real and raw than American film making...the things that most American films would try to "gloss over" are very real and in your face with the film. Over all it was an amazing film and if you have an interest in it I don't thing you'd be disappointed if you bought it.

THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO
Not surprisingly, there were changes and omissions from the book, in the movie. Some were acceptable and some left the characters and the story just a little flat. But overall, it was entertaining, and I don't regret buying the DVD. If I had one wish though, it's that the disc has an option to see the movie dubbed in English rather than subtitled.

    Great Swedish Film
This film roughly follows the book of the same title but leaves out many details as do most films. It is interesting to watch Swedish cinematography as compared to the usual presentation used in the US. I can hardly wait for the next two films to be sold on DVD. They filmed all three books in this series at the same time.

The best crime-movie in a long, long time!
This is one of three in a Trilogy. Stig Larsson is absolutely in the same class as Dean R. Koont's best thrillers, you think you know whats going to happen next, WRONG! Now I'm just waiting for the other two, to come out here in USA. One thing I have to say though, don't let kids watch this movie, it is very graphic!
