Highly recommend this fan!!!
This is absolutely the best fan ever. It is so powerful but yet quiet as can be. I love the adjustable settings and the remote. It is a high quality product and completely worth the cost. I will buy another to use in my daughter's room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I would not buy this product again
I own 5 Vornado fans, some are great but others, not. This one is a disappointment. I bought it online after research and reading reviews but really considered sending it back. My biggest complaint is the noise, even set at 50 (1/2 max speed). Also, the info states it's good for 80 feet but I can't get the remote to work at more than 20 which renders it useless in a large area. I'm quite sure I could have purchased a different fan that would have better met my needs for half the price. I only hope the durability claim is accurate.

The purchase and delivery were quick and easy. We had some issues with the set-up because we couldn't find a 'parts list' in the box and we weren't sure we had everything - we had a little problem with the extension of the pole/stand. We had some issues getting it out and weren't sure if there was another part that we were missing. After some 'fiddling' with it, we got it to work and we're happy with it now.NYC user

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/17/2017Quiet, powerful airflow in a sturdy packageI was really excited when I received the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator. The directions are very detailed, making it easy to assemble. It's kind of like a combination of an oscillating pedestal fan and a box fan, as this fan does not oscillate. That's one feature that I do wish it had. What the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator provides is a very powerful air flow, and it does not need the oscillating feature to accomplish this. I was really surprised, as I sat far to the side of the fan, and was actually able to feel the air moving around me. I also like that the fan is fully adjustable from 0-100% power, and it changes seamlessly. It's also very quiet for having so much power. I definitely will be using this more as the summer approaches. This product is definitely sturdier than other pedestal fans, owing to its 5 strong base support feet. Even though it does not oscillate, I feel the airflow provided is comparable, or even superior, to other products I've tried. I also really appreciate that this is an Energy Star product. With all the electricity use that occurs (more often in the summer months), it's nice that this product is more efficient than other fans. I was not aware of the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator before receiving my sample from Viewpoints. I have not been in the market for a new fan purchase, so I have not paid attention to the brands and styles out there. I would recommend the Energy Smart Medium Pedestal Air Circulator for those looking for a sturdy fan (one that your kids can't knock over) and also those looking for a quiet, powerful fan. It is powerful and helps cool down our home. Our AC bill is super high in the summer bc it is so hot in GA. The Vornado cuts our bill down a lot! It is very quiet, enough to keep on at night. Also cools you down really fast! It comes with a remote so you can change the speed and not even get up! The speedometer is also touch screen and so easier to use! Usually the fan has to be right next to you and directly facing you, not the cause with this. I had it facing me and my friend on the other side of the room could feel the breeze. I usually only use the middle speeds and it's strong and cool enough for me. I can't wait to use it during the warm summer months. I will save a ton of money not having to run my a/c all the time. The remote is a huge plus! The only downfall is that it does not oscillate. It does not really need to since it reaches every corner of the room but it would still be nice. I wasn't aware of this fan before receiving it through this program but I would definitely purchase one and other products from Vornado in the future. But it arrived missing a critical piece. The fastening nut that holds the stand together was missing from the box. Vornado support said they are not able to ship me the missing piece and to contact the retailer for an exchange. The item was drop-shipped directly from Vornado, there's a good chance the same fastening nut will be missing as well, so an exchange likely will not work. At this point my new fan is being held together with rubber bands. I'm marking this as unstable and flimsy, because without that critical fastening nut, that's what this product is. It's a shame, I've owned Vornados for over 12 years and had high hopes for this model.Steve F.
