Reliable, quick and quite NAS drive.
Great price and great NAS drive. Bought two for my NAS and it worked without any issues. Will buy again.

Hard Disk Failed on first use. Poor packaging
I was shocked to see the poor packaging of these 2 hard drives which i ordered. One of the hard drive is having no I/O activity and is not working at all.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/21/2022Fine replacementWorks. Plugged it into my NAS to replace a dying drive, it rebuilt just fine. Ran a S.M.A.R.T. test afterwards and all is good. Hope this will last 7 years like the drive that it replaced. Packaging was great.Crash Override

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/26/2022N/AI made the assumption that the drive would come with the cable connecting the motherboard and the drive. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I then contacted Dell to send me the cable. No luck there either, the wrong cable was shipped! So right now, I haven't had time to deal with this.Derek123

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/09/2022Seem goodNot sure how to evaluate cause I really don't put the drives through their paces or review metrics, but they're working fine. Bought more WD Red plus for a new HD enclosure because I've been running them in a NAS and another HD enclosure for about 5 years with no failures. New ones shipped quickly and setup as a new RAID with no issues.csmbph

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/19/2022Great drivesWorking great. I needed to increase storage space on my Synology DS4 storage cabinet. I replaced four 4 TD reds with four 10TB red drives. No issues so far.Don49953

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/23/2021My Experience with WD Red DrivesI bought my first WD Red drives (CMR version) in 2014, and now it is the only drive I will use in my NAS and server devices. I purchased my first WD Reds to replace a rash of failed drives that were made by a different manufacturer. Now, when I am asked why I am set on WD Reds, I point out that every WD Red drive I have ever purchased still works. I have only replaced WD Red drives to upgrade for a larger capacity WD Red.LCNM

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/12/2021WD Red Plus Drives are very dependably.I installed 2 of these WD RED Plus 10TB drives in my WD My Cloud Ex2 Ultra and set them to Mirror RAID. I reloaded 6 TB of data which took 7 days and the drives worked flawlessly. These drives are quiet, fast and well worth the money. If you have a lot of data to store, I highly recommend these drives for you. My old WD Red 6TB drives worked for 6 years, until I ran out of space, with no problems so, I trust the WD Red drives to hold my data and so should you.Unknown

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/26/2021My First NAS drivesGot these NAS drives direct form WD to start up a 4-slot NAS box at home. They were incorporated into my Synology Hybrid Raid volume without any issues, and I expect them to last a long time. Eventually I will need to add more storage, and will probably continue with some form of Red WD drives.jelecroy
