I love this hair dye
I went out of my comfort zone and tried the rose. I had my daughter and her friend help me put it on. I am the one that usually colors everyone else's hair. :) it didn't have a strong smell and was easy to use. I loved the smell of the conditioner too.

My Hair is Bright Red
I'm extremely disappointed in this product, and I usually love Garnier dyes the best. But this one really didn't turn out like the box at all. The color dyed my hair a bright red orange color instead of the Violet in the picture. Very sad about that, as my entire goal was purple at the end of the day. I'd say pass on this one, not sure what's wrong with it.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/27/2023Not the Color on the BoxI picked this color carefully to match my prom dress almost exactly. Was nervous when the color was going on much more orange than anticipated, but having dyed my hair before understood that sometimes color goes on different than it turns out and waited it out. It did not improve after I rinsed it, did not improve after the first wash, did not improve after several washes, and now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my hair again. Waste of money, I'm sorely disappointed as in terms of performance itself, the dye is very good. Gives dimensional color, not overly damaging, etc.. However, the color is not the same as the box and I no longer trust Garnier products with my hair.upsetconsumer

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/20/2023Waste of time and moneyI fall into the dark brown category on the side of the box, which lead me to believe I would achieve a purple tone. However, it turned my hair an orange red. I've never used this brand before. I will never again. I will have to go with a darker shade in another brand to cover this up.EllieHS

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/27/2022Not purple at allI was so looking forward to having this vibrant purple. I had light to medium brown hair so, per the box, I was supposed to end up with a darker purple. Exactly what I was looking for. Well, I got a red hue instead. On the plus side, I love the smell of this product, and my hair is so soft.Brandy8019

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/24/2022I have used this color for years!I have medium blonde hair with about 60%gray, and using the Olia Medium Pearl blonde resulted in high and lowlights that were beautiful. No brass, just shiny, healthy hair that truly had a pearl finish. Garnier has DISCONTINUED the Olia line, when so many of us have given such positive reviews, and it makes ZERO sense. I will never purchase another product, PERIOD, from Garnier. Ridiculous.Kristine G

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/17/2022Left my hair soft, but redI really wish I had read the reviews before I tried this. I was going for a more vibrant purple, but this is red with maybe some purple highlights, but even that is pushing it. I am really disappointed. Even in sunlight, I would have trouble calling this either purple or violet. I'm sad and not sure how to fix it. Just wanted purple hair for my birthday.Linda816

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/15/2022Nice color and easy to useI overall liked this product, the directions were easy to follow. The color was nice but I expected more vibrancy. It smelled nice, no ammonia smell. The only thing I didn't like was the conditioner, it made my hair feel really weighed down and oily.Calidreamin84

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/15/2022If I could give negative stars I wouldThis is the worst. I have dark brown hair and after 30 minutes of processing I thought I'd get purple or at least a purple tint to my hair but absolutely zero color stuck. This product does not work on dark brown hair as it says. Stick to ammonia colorJesslo

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/07/2022ToTal failThis is for the light natural auburn. I dye my hair often, specifically this shade. However, I usually use the $3 boxes. I think the brand is colorsilk..? Not sure. But that brand was sold out so I tried this one. This one is $4 more per box, so I had high expectations and actually thought my hair would be more red than I wanted. I use 2 boxes. My hair is light brown and takes to color pretty well. First pic is before, then during, after while wet, then dry. I thought my hair would be red red, but I honestly can't even really tell a difference. The $3 boxes definitely color better. One thing I noticed is my roots still look brown and untouched. The $3 option always color my roots just fine, no issues. The smell of this dye is great. No harsh chemical smell and easy to use. It's not as watery/runny as the other, cheaper brands. Unfortunately, I feel like this was a fail and will not be purchasing again as it didn't do much. I will stick to my regular, cheap brand for nowCompressing

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/14/2021Disappointed with the “black” colorGarnier Olia Oil Powered 3.11 Darkest Platinum Brown Permanent Hair Color is clearly not an accurate description for the hair color. Black is a better description. I was excited to dye my hair dark brown and get my hair back to a closer color to my natural hair color. What I ended up with is black with some other hues. My hair also dried out and was not glossy or shiny. More than likely the wrong color was packaged in the box. I've used Olia before and has a pleasant outcome, it was just disappointing this time.CaringMotherOfFour

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/11/2021Dark Rose Quartz? Nope. So, the box shows that this should be a pinky-coral-red color, even for medium brunettes. i had medium brunette hair with light brunette ends and natural highlights as seen in the first picture. it did not take to the medium brunette parts and just made the light brunette a copper color. i wouldn't care about the color difference much if it weren't for it LIGHTENING my roots and being INCREDIBLY patchy. just look at the pics of the coverage and the before and after... my buzzed sides are normally the darkest part of my hair, but they turned a strawberry blonde color!!! i can only hope the orange never washes out, because it will look like bleached blonde. i know the box says "no ammonia," but there is some sort of lightening agent in there, whether it's natural or a chemical. when you get your hair bleached, they work from the ends to the roots because the heat of your scalp will make your roots far lighter than your ends while you're waiting for your ends to lighten. and i started at my roots (as it tells me to in the instructions), moved to my ends, and went back to the roots. i put a shower cap over it as i always do with box dyes, to keep it from getting everywhere. well that traps more heat in the hair with the dye... and i swear it accelerated a lifting/lightening process that was undisclosed. overall not a great experience, and i definitely would not buy again. time to cover it with a different box dye i guess. I used the whole bottle btwNoelle

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/18/2021Love the product, however Walmart meets work!I love the product. I have dark hair with some gray, I use Olia for coverage and it does a great job! My complaint is with Walmart, every time I order hair dye from Walmart...is it customary that every dye box is crushed? It never fails every hair dye box I receive from Walmart looks as if its been stomped on and crushed. I'm not sure what happens to these boxes and why they look as such but it's concerning. It would be appreciated if there was some quality control and these damaged items were not sent out in consumers' orders.Sherry
