Too big of Lumps, doesnt feed well in the hopper
The lumps are too big and hang up in the hopper. This causes the grill to not maintain temperature.

Great quality charcoal adds great smoke flavor.
great value. large chunks are easy to light, burn evenly provide uniform heat and imparts such a fabulous flavor to any meat

Don't burn your money on something that won't.
I bought this lump charcoal because Walmart was all out of Royal Oak. What a waste of money, I should have just bought briquettes. No matter how much starter fluid this has it WILL NOT burn. Thought that maybe it got wet so I've let it sit for over a month outside in the sun and still won't burn. I'd save my money and get something else.

    Decent Quality For The Price
This is a decent quality lump charcoal for the price; still contains some trash and filler, but not as much as some other low-cost brands.

Will use this from now on
First time using lump coal. Liked it much better. Started quickly, burned hotter with no lighter fluid needed.

MB Lump has been the most consistent
Have had my 1050 for a few months. MB Lump has been the most consistent over 6 different competitors. I use my 1050 at least 3 times a week.

    No Flavor Added
No flavor is provided like other lump charcoals. The type of “premium” wood (they don't tell) makes the meat taste like paper almost. Have to add chips to get it right, turns it into science fair project when it should be fairly simple.

    Nice size pieces
I recently purchased several bags of the MB lump charcoal. The pieces were of a nice size, not very dusty, and burns well. I recommend trying it.

Inconsistent size and too many shards not chunks
mostly really small pieces in the bag I received, seemed good quality but due to the chunk sizes will not buy again

Good consistent size for the gravity series
I received 2 bags and used one in my Gravity 1050 and so far 1 firebox full from the second bag in my Kamado Joe grill. A full bag fits perfectly to fill up the gravity series hopper. I did low and slow pulled pork in the gravity and roasted a chicken at 400° on the Kamado. The lump lights fast and burns great. The lump sizes are consistent. Not too big and not too small. They are perfect for the gravity series grills.
